Nanoo, Nanoo (tm)

Here I am, sprung fully formed, from the author's head.

Except for shoes. I don't seem to have any shoes.

Even now, after pointing that out, I still don't have shoes.

I feel like I've got opening night jitters.

There's a Tinderbox set of scaffolding with not a whole lot in it. There's the obligatory "Initial Notes" node, with somewhere around 36 words. So I don't think having this scaffolding is going to give a huge leg up or anything on anyone else attempting to slog through 50,000 words of people, lives, mysteries, loves, and losses.

There's a couple ideas about what my wife is going to be like. I'm happy, even if it happens she's a better detective than I. She's cute, anyway. Or this is the impression I have, this far in. Which is about a day and a half of not a whole lot of dedicated time. Which is fine, since it's not November yet.

But man, is it coming. Maybe I'll go put some boots on, try and cover up my non-feet. Kick up some dust from this small or medium sized town or city in which I work.

disclaimer:

Next week... yes, next week, wait. No. This week.

Anyway, it's here. If you've gotten this far, well, you've probably already noticed.

Yep, it's our first step towards what will kick off in a few days for real, that silly fake word NaNoWriMo.

Here we go. I guess.

Oh, and the guys over at Q.I. Software have been working on something for a few weeks, somewhat related to the old NaNo... but we're just waiting on some permission to take the wraps off it... you'll be the first (or second, or at least very close to the start) to hear when we get it and take those wraps off.

If you had feelings about this week's issue, be sure to let us know how you felt. If your feeling isn't covered here... well, I guess you're stuck, then, aren't you?
Liked it.
Didn't like it.
Would have liked more references to bats.
I'd rather be boiled in vinegar.

Also, we'd like your take on the now missing Summary Feature (email subscribers can still access the summary for the current week's issue only and you can sign up here). How do you feel about the (now gone) summary feature on each issue?
I miss it.
Didn't use it.
What summary, you mean I can get away with reading less?
Don't miss it at all.
